In December 2000, Vernier Springs & Pressings went live on a fully integrated manufacturing and financial computer system called Vantage.
This new computer system controls all aspects of Vernier from quotations right through to despatch of the goods. All stock no matter where it is in the operation sequence is shown so that progressing calls from customers can be dealt with quickly and accurately.
Once schedules and customer orders are loaded on to the system the work is planned automatically and material purchase orders are raised so that no job once entered onto the system can be overlooked or at the time the job is required not have raw material in place.
Advanced scheduling facilities allow work to be optimised onto the best machinery and through rigorous control of the jobs ensure that down time is kept to a minimum.
Full efficiency reports can be generated which will allow the company to target areas for improvement and therefore improve the overall efficiency of the company.
